The port occupies the western end of the bay and consists of a small inlet in the form of a shell bounded to the S by Cabezo del Puerto and to the N by Punta del Rigüete. It is located 200 m from the seafront promenade opposite Mazarrón beach.

Puerto de Mazarrón (Mazarrón)
Located in the municipality of Mazarrón, 17.3 miles from the Águilas marina, 0.7 miles from the Port of Mazarrón and 15.8 miles from the port of Cartagena. The marina lies in the eastern part of el Cabezo de la Reya, from which juts an inverted L-shaped breakwater ending in a hammerhead; a 143m coastal pier, parallel to the main quay, protects the marina interior. At the NE end of the quay is a dry-dock ramp.

Torre Pacheco
Sculpture by Maite Defruc, made in 2007. This two-metre high bronze work is located in Plaza Severiano Ballesteros, in front of the bus station. It is composed of four figures: a child who tries to hold back the young man who is leaving, while the two younger children represent the life that goes on. The sculpture was created as a tribute to all those who are no longer among us but remain present in our memories.

San Cayetano (Torre Pacheco)
Sculpture by Pepe Yagües, made in 2005. The owner of the San Cayetano service station, Gregorio García Madrid, has created the “Island of the Arts”, a corner where various works of art are on display, including the “Minotaurine Menine”. This work by the sculptor Pepe Yagües is a version of the myth of Danae, who was locked up in a tower by her father and fertilised by Zeus. The tower was an “infant guard” a name that is also given to the skirts of the Meninas (court ladies). In the sculpture, the Infanta Danae has been replaced by the Infante Minotaur. This man with the head of a bull is a constant feature of Yagües’ work. The theme used by this artist arises from the great myths generated throughout history: the Minotaur, the Trojan horse, Greek sculpture, etc. The materials used in his work are usually of a great diversity: wood, aluminium, acrylic, iron, paper, graphite, among others.

Alhama de Murcia
Traditional market of natural and handicrafts products, that takes place during the Fiesta de los Mayos, declared of national tourist interest. It is normally held on the first weekend of May, together with other activities such as the contest of "mayos" (rag dolls recreating original scenes), "corremayos" parade, and folk live music of the traditional "cuadrillas".
